We encourage you to participate in this time-honored tradition; enter the competition and show off your talents at the North American Festival of Wales Eisteddfod competitions!
Competitions include Singing, Poetry, Recitation, Visual Arts and Limericks, something for all ages and skill levels. See Guidelines (above) for full information on age, entry and performance requirements. All winners will receive cash prizes and certificates. |
We deeply appreciate the devotion and the generosity of the following individuals and organizations in financing these awards for the 2023 Eisteddfod.
Visual Arts Competition:
Winner: $75, Second place: $50, Third place: $25.
- Public adjudication, via secret ballot.
- Deadline to enter (with title, description and approximate dimensions) is August 21, 2023.

- Guidelines (including "first lines") and entry forms will be available at the Registration table.
- Submission (in-person) by Sat., Sept. 2nd at 12 Noon.
- Adjudicators will choose "finalists" for popular voting at the Noson Lawen (Sun., Sept. 3rd, 8:00 PM)!

Winner: US$75. Second place: $50. Third place: $25.

Competitors not fully conversant in the Welsh language may declare as a “Learner” when entering (online or via walk-on). Adjudicators will then be instructed to take this into account when evaluating performances.

~ Sponsored by Huw Christopher.
Winner: US$75 and the opportunity to sing in the Sunday Worship Service.
Second place: $50. Third place: $25.
Solo Voice / Semi-Professional: The Welsh North America Prize Saturday, Sept. 2nd, 2:30 PM (Formerly: The David Morris Award.) ~ Sponsored in 2023 by Ian K. Samways.
Winner: US$500, with the possibility of an additional scholarship of $3000 for travel to compete at the 2024 National Eisteddfod of Wales. Winner is also invited to sing an appropriate piece in the NAFOW Sunday Worship Service.
Runner-up: $250.
