Welsh North American Association ~ Scholarships and Grants
In 2025 the North America Wales Foundation merged with the Welsh North America Association to promote the vision of education and cultural links between Wales and North America.  The scholarships and grants program will continue the scope to create awareness of historical and on-going trans-Atlantic links; to develop a network of people on both sides of 'the pond' to support our work; and to award individuals who we feel have, by personal example, furthered Welsh-American relations.
The Welsh North American Association is looking to award scholarships to those who:
  • are 18 years of age or older,
  • are permanent residents of the United States or Canada,
  • hold a GPA or 3.0 or higher (or equivalent),
  • support the overall mission of the Welsh North American Association,
  • seek to study in an accredited Welsh university, with a primary focus of on an area of study related to an aspect of Welsh history, culture or language,
           OR
  • seek to study in an accredited university or college in Wales with another area of study other than Welsh studies but see your time in Wales as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the two countries and a chance to engage in "co-curricular" activities, events and travels in a way that enhances or advances their knowledge of and commitment to Wales and the Welsh people.
