We encourage you to participate in this time-honored tradition; enter the competition and show off your talents at the North American Festival of Wales Eisteddfod competitions!
Competitions include Singing, Recitation, Instrumental, Visual Arts, and Hymn Composition, something for all ages and skill levels. See Guidelines (above) for full information on age, entry and performance requirements. All winners will receive cash prizes and certificates.

1. Visual Arts: Visual Arts Competition: Welsh Gymanfa Ganu Association of Wisconsin Award
Winner: $75. Second place: $50. Third place: $25.

3. Welsh Language Recitation: WNAA Eisteddfod Committee Award.
Winner: $75. Second place: $50. Third place: $25.
4. Welsh Learners Recitation: Vancouver Welsh Society Award.
Winner: $75. Second place: $50. Third place: $25.
5. English Language Recitation: St. David's Society of Minnesota Award.
Winner: $75. Second place: $50. Third place: $25.
6. Hymn Singing Competition: The WNAA Past Presidents Award.
Winner: $75 and the opportunity to sing in the Sunday morning service.
Second place: $50. Third place: $25.
7. Youth Solo Voice Competition (age 15 and under): Calgary Welsh Society Award.
Winner: $50. Second place: $25. Third place: $15.
8. Adult Solo Voice Competition (age 16 and over): Seattle Welsh Women's Club Award.
Winner: $75. Winner may be invited to sing in one Cymanfa Session on Sunday.
Second place: $50. Third place: $25.
9. Solo Voice Semi-Professional: The Welsh North America Prize. ~ $25 entry fee
Sponsored by the Welsh North American Association?
Winner: A scholarship of $3,500 US, to be used specifically for travel to compete in the 2020 National Eisteddfod of Wales. A report on the Welsh experience is required. The winner is invited to sing an appropriate piece in one Cymanfa Session on Sunday. Runner-up: $250.

10. Hymn Composition: The Daniel Protheroe Award ~ BY MAIL-IN ENTRY ONLY
Sponsored by Sally Evans (in memory of John and Wilma Evans) and Anonymous
Winner: $1000 and a performance of the winning hymn by a small group in one Cymanfa Session on Sunday.
Competitions in singing and rehearsal are on Saturday with an Eisteddfod winners concert at Saturday 4 pm. Any questions about the Eisteddfod and the competitions should be directed to eisteddfod@nafow.org
